These woods are a delight. I visit them every day. My teenage sons often go there with their friends and make short films. My grandsons love to spend time in these woods splashing about in the stream being proper children with a bit of freedom !!!! Please don't take these woods away.

no to the invasive distruction of yet another green spot in hastings, we need all those trees and more!! airollution due to traffic is high as it is ad we need out trees!!!

Develop the endless reams of brown areas around the town first, like the derelict properties on the Ridge, Ore Station area, Hastings College, etc,and then actually act on the Councils empty homes policy, I am aware of at least two properties in Victoria Avenue that have been empty for well over five years, 17 years in one instance.

We want to keep this piece of idiellic land in such a built up area.Let the children play,and the wildlife thrive and stop passing building applications to line greedy builders pockets! We live here,they dont!No More houses please!!

I believe that the non development option should be at least considered. Our woodlands are precious and should not be given up for development without at least considering all the relevant issues and options. Housing could be build elsewhere, e.g. on brownfield sites.

Their wood is our wood. Woodland adjacent to populated areas is VITAL as the Independent Forestry Panel concluded in their recent government commissioned report. If the local authority concludes that building on this patch of woodland it will be to the detriment of the health of the local population, it will destroy any biodiversity and is, ultimately, short-sighted, reaping deficits for the local economy rather than any benefit. The only benefit will be for the private development companies, not the local population, economy or environment. Sort it out Hastings Council!

I have a good friend that lives in Essex and have visited him a few times. The area where you want to build should be cherished because of the beauty it adds to the area.
