Places like this woodland should be saved and kept and cherished not only for ourselves but for future generations, for the benefit of the community, for the heritage and for the good of wildlife, amenity, local economy and for preventing habitat loss . This has become a great space for me and my children. My children are 2 and 4 and it is now an adventure to get to the Co-op. Surely this is better than jumping in the car? Please don't build.

There are more suitable areas of the town for development which are a total eyesore before recking another of Hastings stunning green areas. Development like this is ridiculous.

Green spaces are vital within urban areas for the wellbeing of the population and as habitat for wildlife. To develop such areas when they are in short supply and of such importance is wholly wrong.

I do not want to see housing developed on Speckled Wood. I would like this area kept natural, green and undeveloped, for the benefit of all to walk in and enjoy as an open nature space.

This area should be kept as woodland both for wild life and as an amenity for residents of the Ore area. Further work is required to improve access to the area. Develpoment of an ORE village green is a great idea.
