It is wrong to take away this land for the large community around it. instead of building new properties convert the ones that have been abandoned for better use.

Speckled Wood is a highlight to the Ore Village area due to allowing lical resisdants to experiance the local wildlife. When it's maintained it will allow local children to experience nature during topic based lessons, being only minuets away from local schools and nurseries. Not every child had tge opportunity for this on thier doorstep, why take this privilige away.

Its a shame that every little patch of beauty has to be cemented over. Our council should focus their money on the burned out pier, the ice rink and the bathing pools and things which attract tourism and maybe pulling a finger out to fix up dilapidated buildings for example the observer building. We have plenty of space to house people already.

Its the last piece of green open space in the area. Its the lungs of the community. Chop the trees down at you peril. Its not our land to build on it belongs to our children and our grandchildren KEEP IT GREEN

woodland is special and should not be encroached on for development. bring back empty housing stock into use and use brownfield sites - don't build on woodlands and wild spaces.

Spaces like this are necessary in these busy stressfull lives we need fast and furious travel and internet we need nature and spaces like this more than ever ..it is necessary and might even save people from having mental health issues

I dont live in Sussex currently but I do know the value of woods and forests worldwide. They are the lungs of the planet and with the oceans supply a huge percentage of our oxygen. People need a connection with the natural world nowhere more so than in our towns and cities. While I understand that the council needs finance in these straitened times please I beg you to take the longer view and keep Speckled Wood green for the people of Hastings.
