I have 3 children who adore walking in the woods, we do this regularly and to find any woods around here is becoming sparse with not much to choose from. They all love the wildlife especially my little 3year old boy and as he gets older the 'green spaces' like woods are slowly disappearing and it can get boring just exploring the one area at fairlight or shear barn, this wood should stay untouched.

I am currently living away from Hastings as my husband is serving in the RAF but this doesn't stop me being concerned about threats to beautiful areas of my home town. I don't want to see this area destroyed when there are other areas of Hastings which could be developed without destroying any natural places. Speckled wood should be kept for its natural beauty in an area which its already over developed and populated. Any development would only add to the greyness and traffic in Ore.
