Too much emphasis has been place on building new houses, especially on green land, what about the brown field sites? what about our infrastucture, which at present is potholed blocked with too many parked cars and always jammed with slow or non moving traffic, new houses will only make this matter much worse. Finally does no one ever think of what will be lost, Sussex is one of the most wooded counties in the U.K. and we should cherish, honour and protect it, before we follow the old saying of "Only when the last fish had been caught and the last tree has been feeled will we learn?"

I used to play in the woods when I was a kid. I used to live in 80 Greville Road. The next dour neighbour owned the orchards that were part of the Olla. The current infrastructure can barely cope with the traffic at the moment, building more houses would push Victoria Avenue and Frederick Road to breaking point. The planned estate will lack amenities, as they all do these days so there will be no extra school, shops nor places for children to play.

This is an absolute disgrace. How can the council consider using up more woodland when there is a disused area of brownfield ripe for development just up the road? Ever since the power station burnt down this site has been left empty and untouched. Leave the wood alone and develop the brownfield sites instead!
