We have lived in this area for 25 years and enjoy the wildlife and the walk.

The Local Development Framework details options A, B or C for the future development plans of the Upper Ore Valley's Speckled Wood (previously known as the 'Ola', Holla, Holler, Hollow). The Friends of Speckled Wood want a fourth option of no development in the woodland. This has been denied in the local authority's consultation. Buildings can be built up and knocked down, woodlands take hundreds of years to grow. There is no sense destroying any of Speckled Wood. Be wise and find more appropriate land to build on.
