Representation Summary:
Para 6.12 - There is too much retail floor space being planned for the town centre. There should be much heavier emphasis on the already existing retail properties with small, individualist shops, like those in the Old Town, being encouraged. This would emphasise our individuality instead of trying to create town centre shopping only second rate towns with good transport links and a 360 degree catchment area. We are all sick of the cloned shopping experiences and there is a wonderful opportunity to create something different in Hastings.
