Representation Summary:
Although there is a specific scheme planned for the Kings Road Corridor, point 3 below needs to be broadened to include all of the retail hub of Central St Leonards including Norman Road, London Road, Silchester Road, Western Road and others. The effective use of grants, loans and enforcement action regarding retail units in this area and the creation of a Business Improvement Distriuct (BID) should also be central to this approach, which would be more effective and affordable than the Crystal Square proposal (Point 4).
