Ecology - The site is within Clive Vale SNCI, within 50m of the Country Park and within 200m of Hastings Cliffs to Pett Beach SSSI and Hastings Cliffs SAC. Clive Vale SNCI is designated for its semi natural wooded stream habitata surrounding 2 reservoirs and is important as a wildlife corridor and for passive recreation. It therefore has significant GI potential. There are local records of common toad within the SNCI which is a priority Biodiversity Actuion Plan (UK BAP) species and a Species of Principle Importance under the NERC Act.

Ecological surveys would be required.
