Development Management Plan Focused Consultation 6th July - 17th Aug 2012

Representation ID: 3753

Received: 14/08/2012

Representation Summary:

We strongly OBJECT to the proposal to build 36 houses because:-
1) the land lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty;
2) the land is a narrow road which is already congested with traffic and parking;
4) creates additional traffic & safety problems at junction opposite Hastings Accademy.

We do trust this proposal will be REFUSED.

We strongly OBJECT to the proposal to build 36 houses on this land which is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Why is this proposal in a greenbelt area even being considered when there are many brownfield areas available for possible development?

The access to this site would also be extremely detrimental to our local surroundings as it is very narrow and Winchelsea Lane is already over congested as many properties have no garages or parking spaces available. The extra traffic created by a further 36 houses would also cause additional problems from the junction onto the main A259. As this is directly opposite Hastings Accademy congestion and safety are already major problems particularly at school times.

We do trust this proposal will be REFUSED.
