Please do not destroy more of Hastings woodland. Theres too many unoccupied flats and houses already! The newly built flats site in Broomgrove Road is unfinished and the site has been abandoned. Use already ruined land, but do not destroy woodland. I oppose the development of the Speckled Wood Area.

I've grown up in this area and spent much of my time playing in the wood with my older brother and sister, we have made camps there, watched the badgers and foxes playing seen woodpeckers, slow worms, bats and dragonflies of many colours so please listen to the residents and keep this wooded area for the future generations to enjoy,not so the developers from far away can line their pockets and forget about it.

Comments: I used to live in Coghurst Road, Ore and played as a child in this wood.

Living next to a wood, I can see the value of retaining green spaces within our town. One way or another, Hastings benefits in so many ways from having these pockets of oxygen and wildlife. I urge you to find a workable alternative which doesn't impact in such a brutal way.
