Option A would allow for a development providing in the region of 100 dwellings in accordance with the allocation in the previous Local Plan, making a significant and important contribution towards housing provision in the Borough, in a sustainable location within the built up area, whist also providing a sizeable proportion of affordable housing.

Option A conflicts with a local greenspace plan. It also conflicts with the Hastings Greenway project that has identified Church Street and Graystone Lane as a key new Ore Valley Greenway (traffic free)route connecting to Hastings Academy.
