The Trust wish to make a detailed submission to the Public Enquiry into the Development Management Plan in support of the land protection proposals included in the draft Local Plan, in relation to the proposal to designate an area of urban green space in the Upper Ore Valley ("Speckled Wood") .

Although our group opposes any development in Speckled Wood we are very much in support of the Council proposals which will, at least, ensure that a large part of the woodland valley is saved from development and can be used for public access and the provision of community amenities.
