Development Management Plan Revised Proposed Submission Version March 2014

Representation ID: 5770

Received: 20/04/2014

Legally compliant? Yes

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Yes

Representation Summary:

This development will spoil the character and appearance of the Kings Road conservation area.

It will dominate and detract from the Italianate Station and the fine Victorian Terraces surrounding it.

It will interrupt the open views across Southwater Valley and this tower will completely over-shadow the area around it.

It will significantly increase population and traffic in Central St Leonards, which is already the most densely populated and deprived ward in East Sussex. Especially considering that approval has already been given for 27 new flats on corner of Chapel Park and Ellenslea Road behind the Station.
