I object the urbanizing of this area because it helps to prevent more serious flooding further down

Full text:

In view that is now evident that climate change is happening I object to the loss of this green area because it is important as area where excess water from strong rains (as seen in the period from October 2013 to February 2014)can be collected and prevent urban areas from being flooded

And because bio diversity that has been established can not be replaced by new planting. Habitats take a very long time to develop and planting few trees here and there will not balance the loss of carbon absorption

These plans were drafted prior to the recognition of the government that Climate Change is happening and that more needs to be done to prevent flooding in urban areas further down by preserving areas that are actually doing that. There was quite a bit of flooding in Combe Heaven and Bulverythe this winter, that will only get worse if areas like this get urbanized

Yours sincerely
