Our client currently operates a store in Silverhill centre which at the present time has a good selection of shops serving local needs, allowing many local people to walk to undertake their shopping. as with all the borough's centres, Silverhill should be protected from inappropriate development that could harm vitality and viability to the detriment of local people. This could happen if for example, large scale development were to be promoted that was not well-related to the centre and which would ultimately lead to a separate, more modern, competing shopping environment being created.
