Southern Water supports Community Facilities Option 1. It is important that there is support from the local planning authority in development management plan policies for the provision of additional water supply and wastewater infrastructure.

In addition to development plan policies, delivery of infrastructure improvements needs to be supported by planning consents and in the case of wastewater treatment environmental permits from the Environment Agency.

This helps to ensure that new and improved water supply and wastewater infrastructure that may be required can be delivered.
