Theatres Trust do not consider that it is always necessary for community facilities to be economically viable - their existence is for the benefit of the community and not necessarily to be a commercial success. As such, alternative policy wording is suggested to provide further guidance. The NPPF re-inforces the importance of community facilities and requires a policy to guard against their unnecessary loss.
