Development Management Plan Focused Consultation 6th July - 17th Aug 2012

Representation ID: 3849

Received: 17/08/2012

Representation Summary:

This should be renamed Maze Hill and Historic St Leonards. The understanding of the Regency New Town is diminished if 'Burtons' St Leonards' is used to label an excessively wide area.

In the east, the area should be extended beyond the SOA boundary that divides the natural community referred to above [para 1.8]. The south side of North Street was largely constructed by 1837/8 [including at least 5 America Ground houses] and may be considered part of the first development of the town. Residents consider Alfred and Union Streets to form a unity with North and Shepherd Streets
