Reasons:
1. The demolition of Alpha Café and taxi rank buildings are strongly opposed as they make a very positive contribution to the character and appearance of the conservation area and also provide a fitting entrance to the architectural gem that is Old St Leonards
2. the site of the former social club should be used to expand the recreational facilities for the children and youths that l9ive in Central St Leonards - the most densely populated and most deprived ward in East Sussex
