Site reference N04. The inclusion of this site for residential development appears to be an act of vengeance on the part of Council officials for the residents success in overturning a plan to provide Traveller accommodation. Its location so close to the St. Helen's Wood Preservation Society makes it a prime case for addition to the Protective Designations and Allocations list
and should be ceded to the Trust for its perpetual protection. Furthermore, the recent new national planning guidelines mean that it should be completely deleted from any proposed development other than for public enjoyment.
