Residents of Pennine Rise complain about the noisy overhead power lines.

This usually happens at night and in the early hours of the morning waking people from their sleep. I believe it's called "sleep deprivation."

I know that the energy company only got temporary permission for these power lines back in the 1980s.

I and many other residents think it would be a god idea for the power lines to either be installed underground or some sort of wrapping of the power lines to stop the "corona" noise.
