The frontage of this building is one of the gems of Hastings and any planning permission that may be granted must retain it. The building must be refurbished rather than demolished and any planning applications looking to demolish the building should be resisted. Even in its delapidated state it is one of the treasures of Hastings and needs protection. Refurbishment should be the preferred option with the building suitable to commercial use.
