This site should be retained as green space as it is the only accessible recreational green space in the area. Having access to playing fields is particularly important if other dwellings are to be built in the area. More houses would also increase traffic pressures on Harrow Lane which is a key road for accessing the Conquest hospital.If planning permission is granted, an employment use may be more suitable as this land is in an established employment area and Hastings is in need of more employment land.
