Representation Summary:
This approach is broadly supported & appears to comply with the SE Plan policies on affordable housing that allow viability to be taken into account in setting affordability targets, provided it is implemented flexibly. In this respect, policy SCT8 in the draft SE Plan also requires the need for contributions from development towards necessary infrastructure to be taken into account when considering affordable housing levels in specific cases. The final policy should reflect this.
