The delivery of affordable housing is better served by a higher overall requirement for housing for the period 2006-2026, & for the area like Hastings; it may prejudice the delivery of affordable homes. If a level of 40% is required on all greenfield sites. Although the SE Plan has indicated 40% as a 'default' level for provision of affordable housing, a case can be made for Hastings to agree a lower level of provision.
