Representation Summary:
Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust support the need to provide at least 4,200 net new dwellings between 2006-2026 in line with Draft South East Plan requirements. It is important that these figures are seen as minimum targets and that the housing targets are revised in order to reflect any change in the housing figures contained in the final RSS.
SMPCT recognise the need to provide affordable housing within new development and support the establishment of a threshold for the provision of affordable housing in line with paragraph 29 pf PPS3. This threshold should relate to net additional dwellings in order to be consistent with general housing targets.
