Ancient woodlands are depleting at an alarming rate. The new Plan is not safeguarding citizen's legal rights to enjoy green open spaces of more than 2 hectares in size within 300 metres of their front doors. Wildlife laws are being ignored in Hastings Borough and excluded badgers are not being allocated the alternative safe setts for long term safe foraging that legislation allows because there is none. Therefore, it must be legally planned for wildlife to be properly accommodated where they have resided for many decades.
