Whose 'genuine investigation' into the site's longterm future is this? The Chair of the Planning Committee stated to it [23 May 2012] that
'development in gardens is now considered to be greenfield development, as opposed to brownfield. That doesn't mean to say it can't be developed. That doesn't mean that at all.'
It is not clear why the Council would be involved in 'the exploration of unrestricted disposal on the open market'.
