I support the proposal to construct the network of cycle paths as shown in the Local Plan Policies Map. As the urban road system in Hastings is difficult and dangerous for cyclists and is a prime cause of many residents giving up cycling as a viable means of transport. My particular interest as a forum member of ESCC Local Access Forum is to improve access to the countryside without recourse to a motorised vehicle. I am in full support of the Policy T3 in the Local Plan [Planning Strategy] and other measures to improve sustainable transport.
