Representation Summary:

Access to the site would be via Hollington Park Close which is not adopted. It is considered to be an unadopted highway meaning that there area public access rights along it but it is not maintained by ESCC. This would need to be made up to provide adequate access to the site for both vehicles and pedestrians. Any development would need to consider capacity at the junctions of Gillsmans Hill & The Green and Hollington Park Road & The Green. A regular bus service operates in The Green linking the site to the Town Centre and local schools. Bus stop improvements should be considered to make bus travel more attractive and make the site more sustainable. Speeding traffic has been an issue in the past in Hollington Park Road and therefore traffic speeds and possibly traffic calming will need to be considered. Being in a Zone 4 area within the ESCC parking standards, adequate provision must be made on site for vehicle as well as cycle parking.
