New development work can provide the opportunity for enhancing the green network - particulary when upgrading work is being undertaken. Upgrading proposals as part of a re-development "Masterplan" for a Holiday Park can include environmental improvements, creation of new wildlife habitat areas, increasing biodiversity, and generally improving the Holidaymakers experience. The overall appearance of a park and the style of holiday accommodation can all be enhanced together with creating additional wildlife conservation areas for the benefit of all parties. Many holiday parks participate in the David Bellamy Conservation Award which demonstrates commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural world.
