197 units on this site is an outrageous proposal and would put an unacceptable strain on infrastructure such as water and sewage, plus adversely affect local wildlife. All the green space, including that to the north of the site, should be retained. Sensitive conversion of existing buildings could provide housing - there is no need to demolish any of them. The convent buildings could be converted into a hotel/conference centre since the town is deficient in hotel rooms.
