Representation Summary:
The HA actively supports the joint working approach adopted with the neighbouring Rother District Council and with East Sussex County Council. The significant cross commuting between Hastings and Bexhill is accepted to be one of the main causes of the many congestion related issues in the two towns. The HA continues to support the Hastings-Bexhill Local Area Transport Strategy and wishes to remain involved in its development to ensure it provides the basis for a robust evaluation of transport impact and the identifcation of practical, deliverable transport strategy based on sustainable travel initiatives.
