This is an open area of natural beauty and habitat for wild animals etc and should be available for everyone to enjoy. I do not want to see this area developed. I cannot believe that an outside developer has any idea about local needs and this would just be a profit making exercise. There are surely other pieces of land around if new housing is required

Woodlands and green spaces are a finite resource and as enriching and beneficial to an urban local area as any infastructural or housing development. Maybe it would be better to spend money on a little conservation of this tiny green belt to encourage its natural beauty and growth for the local population to enjoy. A green space where people can breath and heal there state of mind is far more constructive than a new housing development. How long can we continue to wall and pave over nature. Has the science behind conservation and global warming not been spoken loud enough. When will it be time to listen!

Do not develop these woods into more houses that we don't need or want. The woodland is a beautiful peaceful place. My 5 year old son loves exploring the woodland and playing imaginative games involving the stream and the bridges. My 1 year old daughter loves squelching in the muddy and splashing in the stream. We have visited the woodland with groups of children and they all have enjoyed exploring the woods, finding frogspawn then talking about what it is, what will happen to it. Visiting the woods has led to all sorts of discussions and real learning. I am a local teacher and I know the value of children visiting the woodland and experiencing nature. This woodland needs to stay.
