This should be left as it is. The Ore Stream runs through this valley and makes it unsuitable for development. There will also be a loss of parking for people wishing to use the shops in Ore Village, which is laready at a premium, thus turning people away from Ore.

It is the only wooded area left in a very built up part of Hastings. Children should have the opportunity to play outside in the "wild" with the freedom to roam and develop an understanding of their world as much as possible. This is happenning less and less, and as a primary school teacher I can vouch for the fact that the lack of these opportunities has an effect on children's well being and behaviour.

We need to preserve green areas, historic woodland as places to go and relax and our school children to interact with nature. This area is especially important because it is a wildlife habitat and home to the speckled butterfly.
