I used to live on Greville Road and those woods were a lovely place to play as a child and more recently a great place to walk dogs for people that can't get to places like Fairlight. The wildlife living there is also good and will be destroyed if it is torn down.

The rare breeds of wildlife that live in this natural habitat should be left to continue to live in an ever-decreasing natural environment. Japanese Knotweed is a very difficult plant to completely eradicate which can and does cause severe damage to property with no guarantee that all remnants of its root will ever by 100% removed from the soil. There is a natural stream running through this land which will aggravate further flooding issues with ongoing global warming/future wetter winters.

I oppose any housing development in the Speckled Wood area. This local area has not changed for over 60 years. The demolition of the houses in Church Street was a mystery to us all. Boys and girls Clifton Road side of the Holler used this as a shortcut to school at Sandown. Hastings has its Alexandra Park, Ore can have Speckled Wood.
