The historic environment: this instantly brings to mind the ancient public footpath that follows north from the original coaching bridge across the Haven river on the viaduct built by the Romans. The pathway dates back to pre-Roman times it leads up the eastside of Monkham Woods triple S.I. site incorporating further up north an important wildlife corridor. Why is Hastings Council insisting on the closure of this very interesting historic monument?
