Development Management Plan Consultation Document 3rd February - 27th April 2012

Representation ID: 2269

Received: 29/02/2012

Representation Summary:

This site should be retained as an important heritage asset and while the conversion of the historic buildings for a mix use residential/employment development should be supported in order to maintain the viability of the buildings, the remainder of the site should be retained as green space. The overdevelopment of the site would denigrate the historic character of the area, introduce increased traffic and burden to services in a heavily densely populated area and contravenes HBC Policy C1 c) on development in Conservation Areas, that states that spaces between buildings and other local open spaces should not be lost.
