Representation Summary:

I feel that the area known as Speckled Wood should not just be designated a Green Space but named a Local Nature Reserve as it was supposed to be agreed by the November Hastings Cabinet 2012. I do feel however in my opinion that the woodland should be reconsidered as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

My opinion in this matter does not waiver and I believe this has been demonstrated time and time again in multiple communication with your department. Clearly I believe it is the time for this matter to be concluded in favour of retaining this woodland.

I would like to see no residential or commercial development within the area of Speckled Wood. It is vitally important that green passages are retained to provide habitat linking the larger green areas surrounding Hastings. This urban woodland is important for wildlife and the local human residents. Once it has been developed it's gone forever.

Reiterate the importance of the this urban woodland for all and would like to see it preserved.

I can quite honestly state that my opinion in this matter does not waiver and I believe this has been demonstrated time and time again in multiple communication with your department. Clearly I believe it is the time for this matter to be concluded in favour of retaining this woodland.
