Representation Summary:

Although residents uderstand there is legislation to protect the wildlife it is with astonishment that these proposals are being made. To relocate wildlife other than their natural habitat is in their opinion unacceptable. The EC Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC (HSD; COM 1992), adopted to implement the Global Biodiversity Convention, complements the 1979 EC Wild Birds Directive (Directive 79/409/EEC). This aims to conserve natural habitats and wild fauna and flora. It is believed moving this wildlife would be in contravention of this Directive.
