Hastings Development Management Plan Proposed Submission Version

Representation ID: 5373

Received: 13/04/2013

Legally compliant? No

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Not specified

Representation Summary:

The council do not appear to have been interested in repair and maintenance of the convent buildings for many years, when they could have approached the current owners. It would appear from the above statement that there is an inclincation towards housing development on this green space and that this is being defended by a sudden expression of interest in the hisotric buildings? Any new owner should have a responsibility to the historic buildings and an enabling development should not be relied upon. There is no case for an enabling development.
