The convent are major elements of a conservation area (as identified in the 2004 Local Plan) they have potential as assets for heritage led regeneration. This area should be designated Private Open Space. The Designation as Private Open Space would not preclude an Enabling Development if it was shown to a last resort and followed English Heritage Guidance.
