Representation Summary:
Paragraphs 3.25 / 3.29: Parking for developments needs to include provision for cycle as well as car parking. The ESCC Parking Standards SPG only provides guidance on the appropriate level of parking (car, cycle, disabled and powered two wheelers) based on use class and location. Work is currently being undertaken to review and update the county's parking standards SPG. Details on design, drainage etc will be covered by other guidance such as the Manual for Streets.
As above for design, with applicants asked to submit information on how an understanding of the historic character of the site and its access has been used to inform the proposal.
