Representation Summary:
We support the inclusion of this policy which aims to address both supply and demand issues on water resources and protect water quality.
In Option 1, paragraph 2 of your wording identifies issues which are being addressed at a more strategic level. This is an appropriate level to consider these types of supply and demand issues.
For development management purposes however your policy should include water efficiency targets. We have recommended in previous core strategy consultation responses a requirement that new residential development conforms to the Code-for-Sustainable-Homes Level 3 for water efficiency. We continue to recommend this action.
