Representation Summary:
We are disappointed to note that the requirement for all large scale development to meet at least Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, or equivalent BREEAM standards has been removed.
In our previous response we highlighted the importance of including water efficiency measures beyond building regulation requirements as Code for Sustainable Homes.
We would still recommend that due to the water stressed nature of our region, your Core Strategy should include a policy on water efficiency:
'As a minimum requirement, all new homes should achieve internal water use of 105litres/head/day (as required by Code for Sustainable Homes level3).
