Outline consent has already been granted to this appllication so why are we being asked to make comment? There is something particularly disturbing about the processess of this consultation: once outline consent has been granted it is highly unlikely that this would be withdrawn. So - what value is anybody's opinion at this stage? And this is not an isolated case - there are other applications which have received approval and some are at this moment under construction....so why are comments requested??
The proposal to put a travellers site on this ground is foolhardly: it is on a fast major road and the proposed site is on the roadside verge.It is not suitable for ANY residential use. It is unsafe especially for children, pets and parking/negotiating of vehicles.This proposal contravenes many Policies within the Local Plan,mainly overlooking and privacy.The occupants of the cottage will be overlooked as the travellers site is situated on a high elevated position.And is only a few metres from the front door of the cottage.There was no public consultation on this planning application despite the fact there is a large housing estate across the road.
