Representation Summary:

To propose severing the wildlife corridor is in total contravention of all the Policies within the revised Local Plan.A huge amenity area WILL be lost contrary to the statement with this section in 6.58. It is concerning to witness a gross distortion of the facts within this document.

Despite the Policies within the Local Plan which promise protection to ancient woodland, wildlife and nature reserves, Robsack 'A' remains as a development site. The proposal to build on this site contravenes all these Policies and will result in the total devastation of these woodlands and the grassland habitat which is so vital to the wildlife and flora. It is inconceivable that this council would wish to destroy this special habitat which means so much to the local population who have enjoyed the amenity of this area for many decades. The proposals to relocate the wildlife from this site is astounding.

Representation Summary:

This statement states that the narrow gap joining the two nature reserves can be enlarged and improved, and that an arboriculture reports states that there will be no detrimental impact on the ancient woodland. Whilst 6.57 states that a transport report is required. Until this transport report is completed, how can the full extent of impact be assessed.

This is the planning equivalent of foot-in-the-door salesmanship, and is equally disreputable. It is fanciful to state that 'no amenity value will be lost'.
