Hastings Development Management Plan Proposed Submission Version

Representation ID: 5427

Received: 15/04/2013

Legally compliant? No

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Not specified

Representation Summary:

Inappropriate development. Obtrusive and unsightly buildings in an already densely populated area. We do not need any more large unkempt buildings full of substance abusers. I moved my family here 5years ago and am horrified at how the council is destroying what is left of St Leonards heritage to make a quick buck.

Hastings Development Management Plan Proposed Submission Version

Representation Summary:

The Victorian sorting office previously on the site was not worth saving. The site is cleared and would benefit from a prestige mixed-use development that could be a landmark for the Station area and Kings Road. A modern building of quality would be welcome, and show that Hastings is capable of high standards.
