This site is currently occupied by three residential units. It would be difficult to see how such a small space occupying 0.13a hectares could accommodate 27 residential units in what is already one of the most densely populated Lower layer Super Output Areas in England. Moreover the residential units currently on the site are attractive semi-detached Victorian villas in a prominant position overlooking Warrior Square station and visable from many vantage points in the area. The construction of such high density of dwellings in the area would be seriously detrimental to the townscape

These two attractive semi-detached Victorian houses should be preserved to maintain the current level of original Victorian buildings in St. Leonards. This area should be protected and its architectural heritage preserved not torn down for multi-storey buildings which are entirely inappropriate for this site.

One of the main reasons that i love living in St. Leonards is its rich heritage and townscape. Knocking down victorian structures and replacing them with multi storey buildings would deeply sadden me and my family as this would lose the character of where we live. These proposed multi storey buildings would seriously damage St Leonards' potential for heritage regeneration and tourism.

dont build flats on this site
build houses in keeping with the area
again as we live in this area
it is already overpopulated.
we see that the lovely victorian house
have already been turned into multistorey flats
to build even MORE flats is insane
we know people desperatly need homes
but to build them here ,when the area is already bursting ,with no where to park
households with 4 /5 weely bins each house
it is not fair to the people who do live here to impose this on them.
we are all intiteld to enjoy our homes
why not build houses in keeping with the area
on this land ,for familys ,
each with their own gardens and car parking places
or is this not money making enough ,
what comes first ,people or money
we are Mr B Dean and Mrs JJ Dean

Although it is allocated for residential development, again it is really important to be mindful of the current locality - Densely poulated and deprived conservation area. It is essential that any development here therefore needs to improve the conservation area and be of high quality, add no height to existing development and keep unit no.to a minimal no. encouraging more of a residential mix to this locality. Building standards that maintain the conservation area - no staellite dishes visible and no PVC windows are really importnat.
